Punta Espada Named Best Golf Course in the Caribbean for the 12th Time

Once again, the celebrated Punta Espada Golf Course in the Dominican Republic has been recognized as the top course in the Caribbean, Mexico, Central America, and the Atlantic Islands.

Punta Espada Golf Course, located in Punta Cana, is no stranger to Golfweek magazine's award. In fact, it has been voted the best course in the region no fewer than 12 times.

The Jack Nicklaus-designed course in Cap Cana is situated approximately 10 minutes from the newly opened Harbor Bay resort, inaugurated by leading developer Noval Properties, and is ideal for golf enthusiasts. Harbor Bay consists of 186 luxury one- to three-bedroom apartments, offering a sophisticated style with top-of-the-line finishes.

First opened in 2006, Punta Espada has also ranked for 11 consecutive years as one of the top 50 golf courses on the PGA Tour. In 2008, 2009, and 2010, Punta Espada hosted the inaugural PGA Tour event "Cap Cana Championship"; a milestone in Dominican Republic's golfing history.

In 2019, it was placed 21st among the world's 50 most beautiful courses to play, according to Golf Advisor, and a year prior, ranked 63rd in Golf Digest's top 100 courses globally.

Punta Espada Golf Course has also been voted among the top 100 golf courses outside the United States and ranked among the top 10 golf courses in the Caribbean.
