NOVAL SRL may modify this Privacy Policy at any time and without prior notice, in which case it will be updated in the dedicated section for such purposes on the Website, so we suggest that you periodically visit the corresponding section. By using the Site after any changes are published, it will be considered that the user accepts these changes. All modified terms take effect automatically on the date set in the published Privacy Policy, unless otherwise specified.
Websites Covered by this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to all websites and domains of NOVAL SRL, including all regional or country-specific sites (collectively, the “Websites”). The Websites may provide links to third-party websites for the convenience and information of users. If users access such links, they will leave the Websites of NOVAL SRL, which does not control such third-party websites or their privacy policies, which may differ from the privacy policies of NOVAL SRL. This Privacy Policy does not apply to any personal data that the user chooses to disclose to unrelated third parties. NOVAL SRL does not monitor or control the information collected by such third-party websites, nor the third-party privacy policies, and is not responsible for their practices or the content of their sites.
Type of Information Collected
In this Privacy Policy, "personal information" or "personally identifiable information" means information about an identifiable person that is subject to protection under the law in the jurisdiction where they reside. In some jurisdictions, "personal information" or "personally identifiable information" will not include business contact information.
The Websites collect information through a variety of different means and for different purposes. If the user chooses to register on any of the Websites to receive updates from NOVAL SRL, to manage their account, and/or to use the NOVAL SRL self-service portal, they must provide contact information (name, address, phone number, email address, a unique username, and password). NOVAL SRL uses this information in accordance with its legitimate business interests to provide services and/or contact users about the services on the Websites in which they have expressed interest.
The Websites automatically collect technical information about users' visits (such as browser type, Internet service provider, platform type, internet protocol (IP) addresses, referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp). NOVAL SRL uses the information provided by users to improve the service offered, and particularly to analyze trends, diagnose server problems, and administer the Websites, track user movement and usage, and collect broad demographic information. NOVAL SRL uses demographic information voluntarily provided by the user (such as type of business, business size, locations, etc.) to understand user needs and interests and to provide a personalized experience on the Websites, as well as to process orders, and allow participation in promotions (subject to the marketing preferences opted by the user).
Telephone calls between users and NOVAL SRL staff may be recorded for training and quality purposes, in which case the user will be notified at the start of the call.
Similarly, NOVAL SRL may record images of users through a CCTV system while they are in the centers where NOVAL SRL has installed CCTV.
NOVAL SRL does not deliberately collect information from children under 13 years of age, and does not direct the Websites to children under 13 years of age.
Use of Information
NOVAL SRL will use the information provided by users to improve the services offered, and particularly to allow users to request products or services, request information or subscribe to marketing or support materials, provide personalized customer service, understand users' business preferences, complete internal or external statistics and audits, among other legal uses.
NOVAL SRL may also use users' contact information to send them information about other products and services from NOVAL SRL and its affiliated companies.
For the registration and/or processing of requests through the Websites, the user must provide contact information (such as name, email address, and shipping address) and financial information (such as credit card number, billing address, and expiration date).
The financial information collected will only be used for billing purposes for the products and services provided, as well as for processing payments and preventing fraud.
NOVAL SRL will not disclose the information shared by users to third parties except when required as a result of a court order, or to assist in an investigation for law enforcement purposes, or when disclosure is necessary to protect the systems, business, or rights of NOVAL SRL.
Electronic Communications
Once registered on the Site, NOVAL SRL will send the user an email to verify their username and password, or to respond to queries raised by users, and provide the services they request.
Subject to the marketing preferences chosen by the user, NOVAL SRL will also send them information about new products, services, special savings, promotions, and general information. If the user does not wish to receive this information, they can choose not to receive future emails.
Although NOVAL SRL does not provide user information to its business partners, it may send users offers on behalf of its business partners.
Information Exchange and Cross-Border Transfers
Users acknowledge that NOVAL SRL routinely hires external service providers for the provision of services and the delivery of products and solutions.
NOVAL SRL may share users' personal data with such third parties to allow for the provision of services, delivery of products, and solutions requested by users. The information provided will also be shared internally by NOVAL SRL staff for the purposes of data consolidation, storage, simplified customer information management, reporting, and other internal uses (which may include a transfer outside the Dominican Republic). The handling of users' personal data will be carried out in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

Keeping your information secure
NOVAL SRL does not guarantee the security of its servers. Users acknowledge that the information provided by users through the Websites may be intercepted while being transmitted over the Internet. NOVAL SRL ensures compliance with the generally accepted technical standards of the industry to protect the personal data provided, both during transmission and after being received.
The confidential information received (such as credit card information) through registration or order forms is encrypted using secure socket layer technology.
When we process personal information for marketing purposes or with your consent, we process the data until you request us to stop and for a short period afterwards (to allow us to implement your requests). We also keep a record of the fact that you have requested us not to send you direct marketing or to process your data indefinitely so that we can respect your request in the future. When we process personal information in relation to the execution of a contract or the provision of a service, or for a promotion or contest, we retain the information for six (6) years from the user's last interaction with NOVAL SRL, except for financial information which we retain for ten (10) years or where there is a legal obligation to retain the information for a longer period. Recordings of phone calls and CCTV recordings will be retained as determined by NOVAL SRL's internal compliance procedures implemented from time to time.
Business Transition
In the event that NOVAL SRL goes through a commercial transition or change of control, such as a merger and acquisition process by another company, or the sale of all or part of its assets, the personal information retained may become part of the transferred assets.
