The Colonial Zone is delineated by Isabel la Católica Street to the west, George Washington Avenue and Palo Hincado to the north, Francisco Alberto Caamaño Avenue (formerly Puerto Avenue) to the east, and Arzobispo Meriño Street to the south.
This area is home to numerous historical buildings and landmarks, including the Cathedral of Santa María la Menor, the Alcázar de Colón (residence of Christopher Columbus's family), the Ozama Fortress (the oldest in the Americas), and the Plaza de España, among others.
