This tax is paid annually and amounts to 1% of the property value above DOP $6,750,000. If a client acquires multiple properties, their individual values will be summed, and if the total exceeds DOP $8,138,353.26, they will be exempt from taxes. The duration of the tax exemption varies by project and can be from 10 to 15 years.

The transfer tax is the legal process carried out to transfer the property to your name after purchasing it. An exemption from this tax represents a saving of 3% of the property value. For example, if you acquire a property for US $200,000, you will save US $6,000 in taxes.
